Welcome to the Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center

Welcome to the Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center (SFIDC) located in Minden, Nevada.  For over 20 years SFIDC has been the interagency local ordering point for mobilizing resources for wildland and prescribed fires in Western Nevada and the Eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains known as the Sierra Front area.

Our mission is to provide communications and dispatching services to the participating agencies without regard to agency affiliation and maximize coordination, cooperation, and assistance among the cooperating agencies thereby ensuring effective and economical utilization of local, state and federal fire protection and emergency response resources.
